Collages

For my first collage I chose to use colour as my Element of Art because I thought it would be fun to take photos of different objects that were the same colour. My photos demonstrate colour, as the main focus in each photo is red. I learned that using a single colour could create a visual appealing collage but making sure to carefully place each photo within the collage, so it felt balanced when viewing it.

For my second collage I chose to use emphasis as my Principles of Design because I love how much freedom and variety there is when using emphasis. My photos demonstrate emphasis as the viewers eyes are drawn to the main subject by either placing them in the middle of the frame or using colour. I learned that using different kinds of emphasis in my collage made it more visually appealing, giving a sense of variety to the viewer.
